Sunflower Education publishes high-interest, one-of-a-kind books for teachers, parents, and homeschoolers. Our official motto is “Exceptional Books for Teachers and Parents.” Our unofficial motto is, “Let’s put out some really cool books for grown-ups and kids!”

Do you have a really cool idea? We would love to hear about it! We are interested in unique resources that can be used by teachers, parents, and homeschoolers. We should be able to easily imagine your resource being featured on this website. We are not interested in any fiction or poetry. If you would like us to consider your idea, please send us a brief note in the body of an email and the following in a single Word or PDF attachment:

one-page product summary sheet. It should include your name and contact information, book title(s), description, audience, market, supporting research, and any other information you think is important. Your resume, CV, or anything else that would let us know something about you.

Seven to ten pages of sample manuscript. Send material to submissions@sunflowereducation.net.

Please allow eight to twelve weeks for us to give your proposal the serious attention it deserves. We deal with a large volume of submissions so we cannot guarantee a response. If we are interested in your proposal, we will contact you to discuss next steps. Sunflower Education purchases materials for flat fees. Once your material is purchased, the copyright and all other pertinent rights become the sole property of Sunflower Education. We do not engage in royalty agreements.

If you do not hear from us, it is certain that the reason is that we are not interested in your proposal. Please do not interpret this as a “rejection,” however. Many factors—timing, quality, subject matter, markets, other projects, company direction and goals—go into determining whether your proposal is a good fit for us. We have nothing but the utmost respect for educators and parents who teach well and want to share their good ideas with others. We wish you the best. Thank you for considering Sunflower Education.
